Sexual and Reproductive Health of Adolescent Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons
OBJECTIVES
Main objective:

To develop instruments for the Belgian international cooperation for the adequate monitoring of projects for the improvement of the sexual and reproductive health of war-affected children and adolescents

To formulate recommendations for the Belgian international cooperation for the promotion and the protection of the sexual and reproductive health rights of war-affected children and adolescents.
Specific objectives:

To make a state of the art of sexual and reproductive health rights and needs of children and adolescents in conflict situations.

To identify lessons learned and challenges in sexual and reproductive health rights and needs of children and adolescents in conflict situations.

To make an overview of the main stakeholders in sexual and reproductive health of children and adolescents, both in conflict and non-conflict situations.

To make a databank about sexual and reproductive health rights and needs of children and adolescenst in conflict- and non-conflict situations.

To make a check-list for the monitoring of projects for sexual and reproductive health of children and adolescents in conflict situations.

To formulate recommendations for the promotionof sexual and reproductive health rights of children and adolescent and the provision of appropriate sexual and reproductive health services.
METHODS
- Qualitative research with semi-structured interviews, semi-structured focus group discussions and site visits.

- Literature review and desk study.
- Analysis of international conventions and policy documents.
- Case-study in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
- Seminar for the restitution of the research results.
